A man wanted for murder in Michigan was arrested Tuesday at a relative’s home in suburban Montgomery after a standoff with police and U.S. Marshals.
A SWAT team was called about 5:15 a.m. to assist Montgomery police and U.S. Marshals who reported seeing a suspect in a home in the 700 block of Oakton Drive, according to Kane County sheriff’s spokesman Pat Gengler.
The suspect was 35-year-old Scott Jones, wanted for a homicide in Michigan, Gengler said. Police and negotiators surrounded the home.
Jones was arrested about 8:40 a.m., Gengler said. Police entered the home and found a sleeping infant.
No injuries have been reported.
